Lions Live 15/16 Ep 37: Jamie Moralee & Jimmy Abdou

Joe “Happy” Amphlett was in the hot seat with this week’s packed show with the boys and girl in the studio Gorgeous” George, “Grumpy” Graeme, “Mystic” Ted & “Delectable” Danielle.

In a week which saw the Lions strengthen their grip on a playoff place with a 3-1 away win at Bury, all talk turned towards how important it is for the Lions to get at least a point from the last home league game of the season to secure one of the four playoff place with a game to spare and not make it go down to the wire on the final day of the league season away to Gillingham.

Former Lions striker and now football agent Jamie Moralee was our first guest on the show talking about he’s days at the Den under Mick McCarthy along with the move to Watford and how he now looks after the welfare of the young players on he’s books.

Lions current midfield legend Jimmy Abdou was the guest in the second half of the show talking about what it’s like to reach the landmark of 300 league appearances since signing for Wall back in 2008 with a goal total of 8 of which the one that springs to every one’s mind first away to Leeds in the playoffs.

Joe “Happy” Amphlett was in the hot seat with this week’s packed show with the boys and girl in the studio Gorgeous” George, James “Bad Boy” Graves, “Mystic” Ted & “Delectable” Danielle.

In another week which saw the Lions playing two games it was a case of same old same old with a controversial sending off decision that changed the match away to Coventry resulting in a 2-1 defeat followed by a hard earned victory at home to Fleetwood with a 1-0 win and three points out of a possible six.

Club captain Tony Craig was the guest in the first half of the show taking us through he’s injury and the long road to recovery which now sees him on the bench waiting for the chance to get back on the pitch for some long awaited match day action.

Former club captain Paul “Robbo” Robinson was our guest for the second half of the show talking about he’s time playing for the lions and that goal at Wembley which made him the only Millwall captain to ever lift a winner’s trophy so far!

Lions Live 15/16 Ep 35: Andy Ambler & Billy Neil

Joe “Happy” Amphlett was back again in the hot seat with this week’s action packed show with the boys and girl in the studio Gorgeous” George, “Grumpy” Graeme, “Mystic” Ted & “Delectable” Danielle.

It was a genuine game of two halves for the Lions last Saturday at home to Shrewsbury which saw the Lions come back from a 0-1 deficit at halftime to record a 3-1 win and a double over the Shrews this season which also saw the lions move up to 4th in the table until the Gills lost at home midweek to Walsall midweek & the Lions return to 5th now above the Gills in in 6th.

Millwall CEO Andy Ambler was the first guest on the show bringing us up to date with the regen news after Lewisham’s council cabinet members attended a presentation at the Den this week to see the proposals Millwall have for the development of the land around the stadium and how it went, he also answered other concerns raised by questions from the fans.

Billy Neil joined us in the second hour; Billy joined Millwall in 1964 as a player, and is still on the staff 52 years later. A left winger by trade, Billy scored 30 goals in 213 appearances before his career was cut short by a serious knee injury which forced his retirement in 1971

James “Bad Boy” Graves was back again in the hot seat with this weeks all action show with the boys and girl in the studio Gorgeous” George, “Grumpy” Graeme, “Mystic” Ted & “Delectable Danielle.

With a somewhat lacklustre performance away to Colchester last Saturday with the Lions only coming away with 1 point is it now a case of automatic promotion being out of reach and just a playoff place to fight for?.

Chris Bethell was our first guest on the show talking about this week’s upcoming annual Dockers Day event down at the Den against Shrewsbury Town where some of Tom Walley's 1990-91 FA Youth Cup winning side will be present to help celebrate the roots of our historic club.

Lee Gregory joined us in the second hour of the show to talk about he’s incredible goal scoring season so far which may see him beat the current Lions gaffer’s season long goal scoring record along with how he sees life with the Lions is now..

Joe “Happy” Amphlett was again in the hot seat with another packed show with the boys and girl in the studio Gorgeous” George, “Grumpy” Graeme, “Mystic” Ted & “Delectable Danielle.

After the disappointment of losing 1-0 away to Bradford on Saturday the lions bounced back with a 2-0 home win against top of the table Burton on bank holiday Monday in front of the TV cameras.

Brian Horne our goalkeeping legend from the historic First Division team in 1988/9 joined us for the first hour of the show to discuss how he views the lion’s transformation from the start of the season to where the team are now at the business end of the season.

Chris Taylor was the guest for the second hour of the show talking about how the move came about which saw him return to the lions on loan for the rest of the season and what the future may hold for the winger.

With another 3 points added to the league table in favour of the lions after seeing off Sheffield Utd 1-0 at home (Yes at HOME Joe) it was a return to winning ways with Wall now on a new run of 6 games unbeaten along with people dreaming of a possible top 2 place finish in their sights.

Jamie Philpot another product of our promising youth system joined us in the first hour of the show to talk about life as an upcoming Lions striker for the future and what it means to him.

The goalkeeping legend that is Bryan King joined us in the second half of the show not only taking us on a trip down memory lane but talking our current goalkeepers along with former ones and how life between the sticks has changed over the years.

With the lions being 2-0 up away to Swindon last weekend turn into a 2-2 draw after what most believe was influenced by some strange decisions by the official in the middle of the park had the boys in the studio split between a half empty half full glass view of the game.

Alan Dunne who came from cub to lion from the age of 8 to a full lion for 15 years as a pro footballer showed what it meant to be a Wall player

Ben Thompson one of our upcoming youth players who has made the transition from youth to first team regular joined us for the second half of the show to tell us what it’s like making it to the first team & our it differs.

James “Bad Boy” Graves hosted another packed show with the boys in the studio Graeme, Ted & introducing Danielle who replaced George as a super sub.

With the lions beating Blackpool at the Den last Saturday 3-0 & the midweek games going in favour of the lions it could only mean happy days in the studio with the lion now only being 6 points off automatic promotion at the right time in the season to push for a return to the championship.

Our first guest on the show was George Lawrence who cost Wall £160,000 from Southampton & went on to be a great Millwall winger who Jimmy Carter wished he could only be like.

Mahlon Romeo Wall's upcoming young defender joined us in 2nd hour to discuss what life is like what & it’s like to play for Wall as the young upcoming right back and a youth player“

Joe “Happy” Amphlett once again took control of the hot seat to host another packed show with the boys in the studio “Gorgeous” George, “Grumpy” Graeme & “Mystic” Ted.

With the lions drawing 2 games in 4 days against Doncaster & Wigan the boys in the studio focused on some questionable decisions made by the officials in both matches that may come back to haunt the lions at the end of the season .

Our first guest on the show was Non-Executive Director Constantine Gonticas giving us he’s views on the regen issue and the impact it could have on the club along with thoughts about how the club are now preforming on the pitch.

Barry Mizen MBE “Jimmy's Dad” came on the show to tell us about the 4th  consecutive year of Jimmy’s Day down the Den this Saturday 5th March against Blackpool and also talked about the regen issue which is hanging over the club.

The legend that is our manager Neil “Chopper” Harris joined us for the second hour of the show discussing how he’s Lions have moved forward from the start of the season when the team were very inconsistent to looking a more polished unit that has been on a very good run resulting in the lions sitting 5th in the table with a top 2 spot not out of reach.

Joe Amphlett returned to the hot seat after serving he’s 2 match ban to host another action packed show with the boys in the studio George, Graeme & Ted.

With the lions winning at home (Yes At Home Joe!) last Saturday with an emphatic 3-0 mauling of the posh and what some people are saying has to be the best ever back pass save in history from Jordan Archer having been viewed by over 100,000 times from the Millwall you tube page, everything was geared up for a happy show.

Our first guest on the show was current team captain Steve Morison taking us through he’s two goal haul at the weekend and how being back with the Lions has rejuvenated he’s love for the club and football.

Former Millwall chairman Jeff Burnige joined us in the second half of the show telling us about the early days of the regeneration issue and what he’s views are about it all now and how it’s come to a head and how it may turn out.
