Lions Live 14/15 Ep 19: Johnny Garton, David Byrne and Danny Shittu

On a busy show the team first said hello to boxer and Lions fan Johnny Garton, who is Southern Area Champion!
 
Then David Byrne came on to talk about the unbeatable feeling the Lions used to have, and what he sees as Millwall’s shortcomings this season.
 
Finally Danny Shittu, on the back of his MOTM performance on Friday night told the team how grateful he is to be back playing football for Millwall.

A low point of the year as The Lions crashed to a dismal 1-5 home defeat to high flying Middlesborough.

 
The team in the studio tried to make sense of the season and figure out what Millwall could and should do to fix it.
 
The first guest was Director Constantine Gonticas who gave an insight into how the board operate and if they trust Ian Holloway.
 
In hour two former Lion George Jacks told the panel about his thoughts on Saturday and why he cannot fathom a player who refuses to play for his country because he is tired!

One again Millwall made it hard for themselves as they had to come back from 2 down to rescue a dramatic point at high flying Bournemouth at the weekend.

 
As well as talking about that game the team had two popular guests on the show.
 
In the first hour legend Neil Harris joined on the phone to discuss the U21’s, Millwall’s academy system and how it felt coming back as a coach.
 
And in hour two, goalkeeper David Forde, fresh of his 300th Lions appearance talked about this season and which coaches he has worked with who have had the biggest effect on him

After a late scare Millwall left the Valley with a point and the team sat down in the studio to mull over the game.

 
In the first hour former Lion Alex Rae came on to talk about staying out all night, getting away with things you wouldnt these days, how much he loves coming back to Millwall and what he thinks is wrong with English football at the moment.
In hour two the team caught up with former Chairman Jeff Burnidge who asked fans for patience with Ian Holloway’s reign and promoted both U21 and Youth team games at The Den in coming weeks.

A busy Lions Live after a week off for the International Break, as the team were joined by 3 guests!

First up was a real Millwall man: Billy Neil, who has recently had a lounge at The Den named after him as a thank you for 50 years of service.

In the second hour Martyn Woolford stood in for Lee Martin and talked about how Ollie has the team working in training, how players work for the team and not themselves and how he finds playing in a 4-2-3-1 system against 4-4-2.

Ollie told the team how disappointing he was in himself for losing his temper during Tuesday's game, answers questions about formations and rotation and raves about our academy sides.

In hour two the team caught up with Carlos Edwards who filled in on how his injury is progressing, how he feels Millwall get the worst refereeing decisions and what his team mates have nicknamed him!

Kevin Bremner was the guest in hour two, and he talked about the infamous game at Luton, George Graham and Teddy Sheringham as well as his new role in a TV advert!
