May 26th, 2016

Delectable Danielle was in the hot seat again with this week’s packed playoff special show with the boys in the studio Gorgeous” George, “Grumpy” Graeme & “Mystic Ted.

With a sold out Den last Friday night SE16 was rocking to the sound of Lions fans roaring the team on the pitch to their 4th appearance at Wembley in 7 years and the studio looked back at what was a memorable night for Neil “Chopper” Harris & Dave Livermore, the team & fans which has seen a remarkable transformation of a club & team which were relegated last season to be reborn and maybe only 90 minutes away from returning to the Championship at the first attempt.

Talismanic Millwall fan Harvey Brown’s dad Dean joined the show via phone to talk about Harvey being the Lions mascot for the final this Sunday and what it means not just for Harvey but the whole of the family and the ongoing battle our lion cub has with his condition with the love and support of their new extended Millwall family of club & fans.

Our second guest on the show was none other than Sir Super Neil “Chopper” Harris taking us through the two playoff semi-finals against Bradford and looking ahead of Sunday’s final against Barnsley at Millwall’s new second home Wembley.

Byron Webster joined us for the second half of the show talking about the playoff matches along with his thoughts of the season and how the team are now compared to this time last season and how the players are looking forward to Sunday’s final.

Delectable Danielle was in the hot seat making her debut with this week’s packed show with the boys “Grumpy” Graeme & “Mystic Ted..

Well none of us saw that result coming last Sunday with what can only be described as the Lions best ever away playoff match in the history of the playoffs for Wall to come home as 3-1 winners & now to defend it at a full rocking Den this Friday in front of the TV camera’s with the prize of a Wembley place!

Former Lions Keeper Tony “Denzil” Warner was the first guest on tonight’s show talking about the old days he spent at the Den along with what he does now which also includes turning up in the away end with the Wall fans for games up in the North leading the fans in to a sing-song.

Joe Martin Lions defender who went from Devil to Angel in the same match joined us in the second half of the show to tell us about the low to high of the game against the Bantams last Sunday which saw him concede a penalty to let Bradford take the lead and then go on to score a cracking free kick to give the Lions an 1-3 win to take in to this Fridays 2nd leg game at the Den with Wembley at least 90 minutes of match time away.

With the curtain coming down on the normal football league season the Lions had a tricky short trip down the M2 to face what can only be described as our local derby this season away to Gillingham to record our first win at the Priestfield Stadium since 1997 with a hard earned 2-1 win which also saw Mahlon Romeo being sent off with a straight Red that means he will miss both playoff semis & the final should the Lions beat Bradford.

Former Lions striker Gary Alexander was the guest in the first hour of the show reliving he’s playoff experiences and that now famous Wembley goal that many consider to be the best one scored at the new Wembley stadium to date and what it’s like being player manager of Greenwich Borough.

In a week which saw the Lions strengthen their grip on a playoff place with a 3-1 away win at Bury, all talk turned towards how important it is for the Lions to get at least a point from the last home league game of the season to secure one of the four playoff place with a game to spare and not make it go down to the wire on the final day of the league season away to Gillingham.
